Anesthesiology Services

Loyola anesthesiologists represent all areas of subspecialty in the field. They are integral members of the health care team caring for patients undergoing surgery, women in labor, injured patients in the trauma center, burn unit and intensive care. The group is noted for its expertise in cardiovascular surgery, neurological surgery, organ transplantation and complicated pediatric procedures.

Anesthesiologists also provide support for patients during diagnostic and interventional procedures such as MRI, colonoscopy, cardiac catheterization, ablation and pediatric procedures. They are the lead caregivers for patients with acute and chronic pain utilizing a state-of-the-art Pain Management Clinic. The specialists perform more than 19,000 anesthetic procedures per year.
