Pediatric Cardiologist Brings Expertise to Loyola’s Nationally Renowned Team

MAYWOOD, Ill. – T. Marsha Ma, MD, has joined Loyola University Health System’s nationally renowned cardiology team as a pediatric cardiologist. She also is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.

Dr. Ma’s medical interests include pediatric cardiology, adult and adolescent congenital heart disease, lipid abnormalities and obesity.

She is active in research and is working with a team at Loyola to do more studies on pediatric obesity. She has completed research that focuses on using 3D echocardiography to evaluate the right ventricular function before and after an exercise stress test. She is passionate about educating future physicians and medical staff here in the U.S. as well as in China.

She earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. In addition, she completed her residency in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology fellowship at Ann & Robert Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago.
