Gynecologic Cancer Program

Loyola is a regional center that cares for women with all types of gynecologic cancer: ovarian, cervical, endometrial, uterine, vaginal, fallopian tube and vulvar. The Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center provides expanded clinics, diagnostic capabilities and laboratories for the program.

Treating the whole person, not just the gynecologic cancer

Our gynecologic cancer specialists provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including radical surgeries, minimally invasive surgeries when appropriate, chemotherapy and referrals to radiation oncology when indicated. We also provide all necessary follow-up care for patients with gynecologic malignancies. The gynecologic cancer team treats patients with other complex gynecologic diagnoses. They work in conjunction with medical oncologists, specialty radiologists, radiation oncologists and social workers to provide a team approach to gynecologic cancer cancer care.

Gynecologic cancers diagnosed and treated:

  • Ovarian cancer
  • Cervical cancer
  • Endometrial cancer
  • Uterine cancer
  • Vaginal cancer
  • Fallopian tube cancer
  • Vulvar cancer
