Loyola 5K Race, Walk and Children's Character Competition

The Loyola University Medical Center 5K Walk, Race & Children’s Character Competition is a family friendly event supporting the Ronald McDonald® Children’s Hospital at Loyola University Medical Center. In its inaugural year, more than 1,400 adults and children participated in this event, raising funds for our youngest patients and making a difference in the lives of children in our communities. The 5K walk/race is run along a private, closed course on the Loyola University Medical Center and Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital campuses. People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to participate, with registrants encouraged to form teams of co-workers, friends and family to build a united front and raise funds for the Ronald McDonald® Children’s Hospital at Loyola University Medical Center. All 5K participants receive an event t-shirt. The Children’s Character Competition allows kids to run and romp with mascots and characters we all know and love while learning the importance of leading a healthy and active life at a young age.
