Diet and exercise tips from Loyola Primary Care
Dr. Michael Gill, an internist/pediatrician who is the director of the Loyola Center for Health at Wheaton, talks about what people can do to lose weight.
Losing weight occurs when you have the right combination of eating right and exercise. However, many people skimp on the exercise part of the equation. He explains that you have to increase your metabolism to lose weight and that means you have to move more. If you only eat less, then the body adjusts for that and you will soon reach a plateau. Breaking a sweat will help if you want to lose weight.
