Loyola surgical team leading the way in robotic-assisted techniques
Loyola University Medical Center offers robotic-assisted surgery, which allows for quicker and less painful recovery. This technique improves surgeons' view of the surgical site and ability to move surgical tools.
The doctor is seated at a console rather than at the surgery table and can easily manipulate the robot without straining to reach over. This allows the surgeon to better concentrate on the patient. Another surgeon and nurses assist at the surgical table, observing the procedure. Loyola is very excited to offer this technology to our patients.
