Loyola to Conduct Lockdown Drill

Active shooter to test student and staff preparedness
WHAT: Loyola University Health System and the Cook County Sheriff's Police have decided to conduct an emergency-preparedness exercise in Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. The exercise is intended to test the response of students and employees should an active shooter intrude upon the campus with an intent to do harm. Cook County Sheriff's Police will be on campus in full SWAT-team equipment. Signs will be posted around the perimeter of the medical school to inform passers-by that a “Code Grey Lockdown: Active Shooter Exercise” is in progress. Loyola University Health System (LUHS) is a member of Trinity Health. Weinberg Cancer Center at Melrose Park.
