Loyola Named to List of '100 Great Hospitals'

MAYWOOD, Ill. -- Loyola University Medical Center has been named to a list of "100 Great Hospitals" by Becker's Hospital Review.

The publication said hospitals on the list have "contributed to the history of American health care, made noteworthy accomplishments in 2011 and will continue to make strides this year."

The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team accepted nominations, conducted research and considered other recognized industry sources to develop the list. Sources include U.S. News & World Report, Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospitals, HealthGrades, Magnet recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipients.

Loyola University Health System (LUHS) is a member of Trinity Health.
