Dr. Gupta is a graduate of the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. During this time, he also obtained a Masters in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago in public health informatics. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center and his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He then pursued additional training in advanced interventional endoscopy at Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. Gupta has clinical and research interests in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, malignant and pre-malignant conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, and improving the quality of endoscopy. He performs a wide range of advanced endoscopic procedures including
