Grateful liver transplant patient talks about responsibility
Michael Andrews developed liver disease and then liver cancer. When he got the call that a liver was available, he panicked. It was hard to take the next step. But understanding the meaning of such a gift, he and his wife, Cheri, moved forward. Mr. Andrews talks about the importance of following all the doctor's instructions, especially with regards to the drug regimen. It takes responsibility to accept the gift of an organ transplant, he said.
