Four Loyola Medicine Nurses Accepted to IONL Nurse Leader Fellowship

MAYWOOD, IL – Four Loyola Medicine nurses were accepted to the Illinois Organization of Nurse Leaders (IONL) Nurse Leader Fellowship for 2021.
The Illinois Nurse Leader Fellowship is a program dedicated to the development and support of managers and new directors from diverse practice environments throughout the state. The fellowship is designed to build and enhance leadership skills and competencies through education, mentoring and networking. The Loyola Medicine nurses who were selected are below:
- Lori Chiapetta, MSN, RN, CNML, nurse manager at MacNeal Hospital Intensive Care Unit
- Travis Dalke, BSN, RN-BC, nurse manager at MacNeal Hospital Behavioral Health Unit
- Stefanie Keating, BSN, RN, nurse manager at Loyola University Medical Center Operating Room
- Jessica Leddy, MSW, BSN, RN, PCCN, nurse manager at Loyola University Medical Center 3NW Medicine
"The nurse leaders chosen for this fellowship represent our continued commitment to growth and education for all of our nursing staff," said Peggy Norton-Rosko, DNP, RN, NEA-C, regional chief nursing officer for Loyola Medicine. "We are proud of their hard work and dedication, and are excited to see how they implement this new knowledge and experience in our hospitals."
Fellowship candidates are nominated by a hospital's chief nursing officer and selected by the IONL. The fellowship runs throughout 2021 and gives participants the opportunity to work collaboratively with other nurse leaders and gain valuable skills to be leaders for change. Graduates will serve as mentors for future nurse leader fellows.
