MAYWOOD, IL – Loyola Medicine and the Loyola Children's Committee will hold its second Chipping in for Children golf event to benefit programs that support Loyola pediatric patients.

The unique golf event will be held Sunday, October 14, 2018, 3-6 pm, at Topgolf, 3211 Odyssey Court, Naperville. A dinner and silent auction are part of the event.

Proceeds will fund projects led by the Loyola Children's Committee (LCC). Previous fundraising by the LCC has raised money for new furniture for patient rooms and funded the renovation of the lactation and family consultation rooms in the neonatal intensive care unit.

"The projects funded by the Loyola Children's Committee help support the high quality of pediatric care provided by Loyola Medicine," said Jerold Stirling, MD, director of Loyola pediatrics.

The LCC is made up of volunteers dedicated to a greater collective impact on pediatric healthcare at Loyola University Medical Center and includes Loyola staff and former patient families.

No golf skills are required for this event and clubs are provided, if needed. The cost is $100 per person. The deadline to register is Thursday, October 11, 2018.
