NICU Babies at Loyola Medicine Wear Red for February's Heart Month 2018

MAYWOOD, IL – Babies being cared for in Loyola Medicine's neonatal intensive care unit are wearing red hats during February 2018 in support of the American Heart Association's Little Hats, Big HeartsTM.
February is American Heart Month and the American Heart Association, in connection with The Children's Heart Foundation, provided the hand-knit hats to promote heart-healthy lives in babies and mothers.

Loyola cares for more than 300 critically ill newborns each year. Our 50-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) is known for the care of extremely premature babies and newborns with medical conditions such as jaundice or anemia.
