Trinity Health Appoints Eileen Matzek as Loyola Medicine Chief Information Officer

MAYWOOD, IL – Trinity Health has announced the appointment of Eileen Matzek as the new regional chief information officer for Loyola Medicine, effective Thursday, April 2, 2020. In this role, Matzek will be responsible for all information technology (IT) service delivery for Loyola Medicine hospitals which include Loyola University Medical Center, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and MacNeal Hospital.

Matzek has more than 35 years' experience in health care IT. Most recently, she served as vice president of application and field services for AMITA Health. In this role, she was responsible for the development and implementation of solutions to support clinical operations and administrative operations, as well as service delivery for all AMITA hospitals and health facilities. She oversaw all financial matters around applications, projects and IT programs, and was the first point of contact for escalated issues regarding IT from AMITA hospitals.

Matzek began her career in health care as a registered radiologic technologist. In addition to AMITA Health, she has held various IT leadership positions at Advocate Health Care and Presence Health.

Matzek earned her bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology from DePaul University and her master’s degree in Business Administration from Illinois Benedictine University.
