I currently serve as Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, a position I assumed in 2003. I joined Loyola in 1990 where I served as Director of the Cornea Service and Residency Program Director until 2003 when I assumed responsibilities as Chair.

Dr. Hunter had me remove the lenses, and it still took awhile. I still have a lot of trouble getting them out at home.

Dr. Hunter understood exactly why I asked about crying around a recent tragedy I've had. She explained it all for me to really understand that I am just incapable of crying, but that doesn't make me any less sad about the situation; however it does make me smarter about it to understand that crying doesn't fix things it is a physical response to the emotional pain. She listened when I spoke about the situation and responded intelligently and with sincere empathy too.

Dr. Hunter will make time to ensure that her patient feels like her only patient that day. She is excellent at listening and responds showing that she heard what you said. She will go an extra mile out of her way and use her expertise in any way possible to get her patients' the best care absolutely possible.
