About

Dr. Anstadt is a surgeon specializing in trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care. He completed his general surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center followed by a fellowship in trauma and surgical critical care at the renowned R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland. He has published many abstracts and manuscripts in the fields of trauma and surgery. He holds positions on many hospital committees, with a focus on improving quality and outcomes of hospitalized patients.

In addition to his care of the critically injured and ill, Dr. Anstadt has a busy general surgery practice, caring for patients with hernias, gallbladder disease, pancreatitis, and diverticulitis. He has a particular interest and expertise in abdominal core health, hernia surgery, and complex abdominal wall reconstruction. As a member of the Loyola Hernia Center, he uses advanced reconstructive techniques, including component separation and robotic surgery. Surgical and patient related outcomes related to hernia surgery are closely tracked in order to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Dr. Anstadt works closely with patients and families to come up with a plan together. He believes in personalized care for each patient and looks forward to working with you to improve your health.
