Auxiliary

Helping Hands

In the 54 years since its inception, the Auxiliary has donated more than $6.5 million to the hospital. These funds have been used to help cover the cost of projects such as: renovation of the surgical department; construction of a diagnostic center and new cardiology department; expansion of the emergency department and many other patient-care projects. The Auxiliary is responsible for:

  • Volunteer Services
  • Student Volunteers
  • The Gift Shop

Scholarships - Each year, the Auxiliary together with the Medical Staff annually awards scholarships to area high-school students who are interested in the healthcare field and area students already enrolled in a college-level, healthcare program.

To apply for a scholarship, college students may pick up an application in the Auxiliary office, located on the first floor of the Professional Building. High school students are chosen by counselors at each area high school on the basis of grades and interest in health careers. The Auxiliary must receive all applications by July 1.
