Career goals: To become a well-rounded physician providing compassionate, patient centered care for my patients. I want to support and reassure those who are going through a difficult time.

What I like about MacNeal: I felt a sense of community during my interview with MacNeal. Everyone looks out for each other both inside and outside of the hospital. The learning opportunities are great and faculty genuinely want to see the residents succeed.

Interests outside of medicine: Running, biking, golfing, traveling, cooking, and baking.

What I like about MacNeal: Incredibly nice people and the city of Chicago!

Interests outside of medicine: Hiking, running, slacklining, road trips, national parks, progressive house/techno, trying new restaurants, and video games.

What I like about MacNeal: MacNeal Hospital has a long history as a strong community program that provides residents with a supportive and effective training environment.

Interests outside of medicine: In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, biking, and cooking.

What I like about MacNeal: I have heard from previous residents that MacNeal is very supportive of its residents and is a good place to train during this transition year. I was impressed during the interview day and felt that this would be the right spot for me.

Interests outside of medicine: My wife and I love to cook and travel. We are hoping to go to Hong Kong once travel restrictions are removed.

What I like about MacNeal: I chose MacNeal hospital because I liked that MacNeal has a community hospital feel while still offering amazing academic opportunities.

Interests outside of medicine: I love to get outside: hiking and mountain biking in the summer and skiing in the winter.

What I like about MacNeal: I chose MacNeal because of the deep connection it has with the community it serves. I wanted place where I could grow as a physician, but also in becoming a person for others. I feel MacNeal is an environment that will allow me to achieve these goals. The residents work hard to help lift each other up which is evident in every aspect of this program.

Interests outside of medicine: Outside of medicine I love to run, hike, scuba dive, and bake!

What I like about MacNeal: Everyone I met on interview day was so great! In addition to the kind culture, I wanted to stay close to Loyola, where I will be going for my advanced training. Also, I love Chicago!

Career goals: Be a compassionate doctor that takes the time to understand my patient’s journey that led them to me. I also have an interest in bridging the gap of underserved populations and dermatology care.

What I like about MacNeal: I loved the collegial environment and the fantastic peers you get to work with. Everyone is hard working and will do anything they can to help you out!

Interests outside of medicine: Boxing, dancing, cooking, and playing with my kitten!

Career goals: After my transitional year, I will be completing my residency in diagnostic radiology at Rush. My goal is to become a well-rounded radiologist who provides exceptional and compassionate care for my patients.

What I like about MacNeal: For my intern year, I was looking for a program that would provide strong clinical training and continued medical education in a welcoming and supportive environment, and MacNeal checks all the boxes! I also love the balance of useful core rotations with interesting electives interspersed. This allows us to explore and develop a strong medical foundation while being further introduced to the variety of specialties that MacNeal has to offer.

Interests outside of medicine: When I'm not in the hospital, I love reading, painting, drawing, fashion, and especially movies!

Career goals: I hope to become a well-rounded and compassionate radiologist who provides culturally competent care.

What I like about MacNeal: I chose MacNeal Hospital because the faculty, residents, and staff are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and prioritizing medical education. Additionally, as a native of the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, it is an honor and a privilege to be serving my community.

Interests outside of medicine: I enjoy traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends.

Career goals: My career goals start with developing into a well-rounded dermatologist. I am currently interested in all areas within dermatology, and look forward to learning every aspect of the speciality throughout residency. Overall as a physician, I hope to provide excellent care to my patients, while developing strong relationships with them. I hope to leave a lasting impact within the field of dermatology and medicine at large.

What I like about MacNeal: I chose MacNeal because I could tell rather quickly that it offered a well-rounded transitional year, with a great blend of general medicine as well as elective opportunities. Also, I could tell the faculty were very engaged in resident education. I knew MacNeal would allow me to serve a diverse patient population, which was something I was very excited about. Lastly, MacNeal is located outside of Chicago, which is one of my favorite cities in the country and a place I've always wanted to live.

Interests outside of medicine: I like to cook and play golf. I also really enjoy stand-up comedy. And lastly, I love going out to eat in the West Loop of Chicago.

Career goals: I hope to become a skilled, patient-centered and well-rounded radiologist. I also hope to continue to grow as an entrepreneur and physician innovator throughout my career.

What I like about MacNeal: Coming from a large academic medical center for medical school, I very much enjoy getting to work and learn in a community setting. Everyone at MacNeal is incredibly supportive and focused on helping each other learn and grow through each rotation--everyone is incredibly friendly, and I have never had a moment where I did not feel asking those around me for help. Lastly, the transitional year has a wide range of elective opportunities, allowing a lot of flexibility in customizing our experiences throughout the year.

Interests outside of medicine: Running on the lakefront, cooking new foods, exploring Chicago, and watching Football and Formula 1.
