MAYWOOD, IL – For the second year in a row, Loyola University Medical Center has been named to Forbes magazine’s 2017 list of America’s Best Employers.

Loyola is the highest-ranking Illinois employer on the list and the only Illinois healthcare system to make the list. Loyola ranked 82nd out of 500 large employers on the list.

“We consider our staff to be among the finest in our industry and certainly our most valuable asset,” said Larry M. Goldberg, president and CEO, Trinity Health Illinois. “We are honored to be recognized as one of America’s best employers.”

Forbes worked with the research firm Statista to compile the best employers list. Statista surveyed 30,000 American workers. On a scale of zero to 10, workers were asked how likely they were to recommend their organization to friends or family. Employees also were asked to recommend other companies (answers to this second question informed the ratings, although to a lesser degree than workers’ answers about their own companies).
