When Pierson Gibis was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare cancer that forms in soft tissue, he worried he would never play baseball again. But Pierson is a warrior who fought his way back to the field with help from Loyola Medicine's pediatric oncology team. Then his dream came true when he was drafted in the 39th round by the Chicago Cubs in June 2018.
