Loyola Medicine Accredited as Level 4 Epilepsy Center by National Association of Epilepsy Centers

MAYWOOD, IL – Loyola Medicine's comprehensive Epilepsy Center has been accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC) as a level 4 epilepsy center.
Level 4 epilepsy centers have the professional expertise and facilities to provide the highest level medical and surgical evaluation and treatment for patients with complex epilepsy.
The nonprofit NAEC includes more than 230 specialized epilepsy centers in the United States. NAEC supports epilepsy centers in delivering quality, comprehensive care to people with epilepsy, by setting standards of care, advocating for access to high-quality epilepsy center services and providing knowledge and resources to member centers.
Loyola's Epilepsy Center provides clinically integrated care for day-to-day management of the disease and in times of crisis. The center offers the highest-level specialized epilepsy care to adults and children as young as two years old. Loyola offers epilepsy consultations using state-of-the-art neuroimaging and electrodiagnostic technology to identify and assess complex seizure disorders through short- and long-term monitoring.
