The Loyola Administrative Perinatal Center (APC) is designated by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The APC is a liaison and resource to provide quality maternal-fetal and neonatal care, and outreach education to hospitals within a network defined by IDPH. As the APC, Loyola is dedicated to improving health services in high-risk pregnancy and infant care while striving to improve accessibility of maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal services within our communities to reduce maternal and infant morbidity and mortality.
The APC receives referrals from network hospitals and a wide variety of physician practices throughout Cook, Will and DuPage counties. Loyola provides quality improvement activities and education that are specific to the needs of the network hospital and support the initiatives and programs of IDPH with an aim to improve outcomes for pregnant women and their babies. Loyola Medical Center is a Level III perinatal center with a proven record of accomplishments in providing excellent care to the high-risk mother while improving outcomes for infants born with congenital conditions or newborns requiring advanced medical and/or surgical care.
