President-elect of Council on Hypertension of the American Heart Association and that is the only society for Hypertension in the USA and most prestigious of all International Societies.

 


Holly Kramer

Holly Kramer, MD

President-elect of The National Kidney Foundation, the national body developing and establishing the Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) guidelines.

Holly Kramer is Vice Chair of the Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (KDOQI) national committee which issues recommendations for kidney diseases.

Dr. Kramer is the principle investigator and Dr. Bansal (show photo) the co-principal investigator for the NIH sponsored SPRINT Research Group responsible for recruiting patients from Loyola to participate in the Randomized Trial of Intensive versus Standard Blood-Pressure Control.

In 2017, Loyola's nephrology faculty published in the American Journal of Kidney Diseases controversy papers addressing statin use in chronic kidney disease patients, ultra-filtration rates in dialysis patients and oral anticoagulants in patients receiving renal replacements.
