COVID-19
Radiology Rounds
This is a weekly conference held on Tuesday mornings led by Loyola Medicine's pulmonology and critical care medicine division head, Sean Forsythe, MD.
Radiology rounds provides trainees an opportunity to go through systematic intepretation of radiographs from a pulmonologist's perspective as well as to discuss challenging cases.
Fellows and faculty present cases from the ambulatory care clinics and clinical services for review and discussion. Faculty from Hines and Loyola weigh in to provide a diverse array of opinions.
Journal Club
Journal club is held every Wednesday at the Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital. Faculty and fellows from both hospitals attend and present peer-reviewed articles relating to pulmonary and critical care for discussion of methods, results and importance to the field.
First year fellows are assigned specific articles to enhance their understanding of different pulmonary topics as well as varying methodologies.
Fellow Didactic Lecture Series
Fellows have protected time every Thursday for their weekly lecture series. This series covers core topics in pulmonary and critical care medicine that are vital for patient care as well as boards.
