Body Imaging Fellowship Program Overview

Loyola Medicine's Body Imaging Fellowship program is a one-year, non-ACGME accredited program available to ABR certified or board-eligible radiologists. Besides excellent faculty, our strength is volume and diversity of pathology which prepares our graduates for both academia and private practice. Fellows do not have any after-hours or weekend call responsibilities.

Fellow will work out of Loyola University Medical Center, a tertiary care facility and Level I trauma center based in Maywood, IL, a western suburb of the greater Chicago metropolitan area.

Loyola University Medical Center's campus contains the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center and is affiliated with Loyola University Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine as well as the neighboring Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital.

Loyola University Medical Center is visited by a diverse patient population throughout the Midwest with a vast spectrum of clinical diseases and ranks among the best Illinois hospitals, with nationally ranked (top 50) specialties in U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospital rankings.

These include Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Ear, Nose & ThroatCardiology & HeartSurgeryGeriatricsNeurology & NeurosurgeryOrthopaedics and Pulmonary & Lung Surgery being ranked as high performing (top 10% in nation).

Candidates for the fellowship should hold or be eligible for a permanent medical license in the State of Illinois and must have evidence of current/valid work authorization (ie. applicants must have a US permanent resident visa or be a US citizen)

Loyola Medicine is unable to sponsor H1-B visas.

Please note that IDFPR requires at least two years of postgraduate residency training completed in an approved training facility in the U.S. or Canada for permanent licensure application.
