Application Requirements

Applicants for Loyola Medicine's Vascular Surgery Fellowship program will need to successfully complete an ACGME-accredited general surgery residency program prior to matriculation.

They must be American Board of Surgery or American Osteopathic Board of Surgery eligible or certified in general surgery.

Fellowship applications will be accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Minimal application contents for consideration include:

  • Complete ERAS application
  • Three Letters of Recommendation
  • Personal statement
  • ABSITE or COMLEX scores
  • USMLE scores
  • ECFMG certificate (if applicable)

All candidates must be registered through the National Resident Matching Program. The NRMP code for this program is 1170450F0.

In addition, the fellow must be able to obtain a permanent medical license in the State of Illinois and be legally able to accept employment. For those requiring a visa to work, Loyola Medicine is able to accept J-1 visa sponsorship only.

Interview Process

Complete applications will be reviewed as they are received.
