How to Apply

2024-2025 Applicants: This year we will be using CentralApp (CentralApp) in addition to ERAS for our review process. CentralApp was started as a low-cost alternative to ERAS in plastic surgery 5 years ago and it is now used specialty wide (Learn More). We are piloting this platform with the hope that in future years we can remove the financial barriers created by progressive application fee structures of ERAS. As you will see from the questions, CentralApp also promotes holistic application review by focusing on quality application content rather than quantity. There is no cost for you to use CentralApp. Upon accessing CentralApp, you will be instructed to create a secure account that will be verified by your medical school dean's office, who will submit your transcripts and MSPE directly through the portal. Letters of recommendation should be requested through CentralApp in order for you to have a complete application for us to review. The Match will remain with the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Please direct any questions about the application to HELP@accessgme.com

We ask that all applicants dual apply in CentralApp this year to allow us to compare the systems and evaluate for future decisions about which system to use for applications, as well as to develop the CentralApp system to provide a low cost alternative to future students.

Interview Information

Thank you for considering Loyola Medicine for your anesthesiology training. The interview day is planned to be as informative and pleasant as possible. We recognize the time, effort and expense involved in travelling for interviews. As such, and in alignment with national recommendations for interviews, we will be conducting virtual interviews for the upcoming application cycle. Each virtual interview will include a pre-interview social to allow access to converse with current interns and residents and learn more about the program.

On the day of the interview, you will have interviews with several faculty members. You will also have access to current residents and interns to learn what training at Loyola is about. We are also offering resident meet and greet sessions virtually in September. Please conect with us on Facebook or Instagram for the most up to date information including links to join the sessions.

We are looking forward to meeting you during the interview process.
