Loyola’s clinically integrated urology program includes specialists in adult urology, pediatric urology, urogynecology and research scientists.

- Treatment for voiding dysfunction with a neurological condition, such as stroke, spina bifida or spinal cord injury

Loyola’s urology program provides expert medical and surgical treatment in outstanding, conveniently located facilities. We have multidisciplinary facilities at the Loyola University Medical Center campus, in addition to outpatient services at other locations.
We offer the following specialized services to provide you with the most comprehensive care:
- Endourology and laparoscopic surgery — Loyola has the largest endourology practice in the Chicago area and offers minimally invasive treatments that are not performed at most area hospitals. Bladder problems, kidney stones, kidney tumors and even kidney donations can be approached with minimally invasive techniques, offering patients less pain, scarring, blood loss and recovery time.
- Kidney transplant surgery — Loyola’s Transplant Center has the medical expertise and technological resources to care for the most difficult conditions, whether you need a kidney or a multi-organ transplant. Since 1971, Loyola’s nephrology program has provided a full range of services for patients of all ages as they prepare for a kidney transplant. - Male infertility and erectile dysfunction — Loyola provides the latest technologies for the treatment of male infertility and sexual health, such as vasoepididymostomy for vasectomy reversal after 10 years or more and microscopic sperm retrieval.
- Pediatric urology — Loyola offers a complete program in pediatric urology, including reconstructive and oncologic services.
- Reconstructive urology — Loyola urologists have special expertise in urologic reconstructive surgery, with an emphasis in urethral reconstructive procedures and the treatment of urologic trauma.
- Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery Center — Loyola’s specialized center is a national model for integration of gynecologists and urologists in the care of female incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and other pelvic disorders. Loyola is one of the first medical centers in the Chicago area to offer the option of robotic surgery for women's pelvic surgery procedures. - Urologic oncology — At Loyola, patients receive multidisciplinary care for all genitourinary cancers. Treatment options include major open surgical and reconstructive procedures, minimally invasive approaches, robotic surgery, systemic therapies that include access to current and investigational new treatments, percutaneous cryosurgery and advanced radiation therapy approaches, including prostate seed brachytherapy.
