Applying to the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program

Thank you for your interest in the Loyola University Medical Center Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program. Our program only accepts applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS), and all positions are filled through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).


Applications will be reviewed, and selected applicants will be invited for an interview. Please respond promptly to interview request, as an invitation to interview does not guarantee an interview spot.

Our deadline for applications is November 1, 2020 for the PGY-1 residency starting in July, 2021.

We will be recruiting 5 candidates for the 2021 PGY-1 level.

  • USMLE Step I Report
  • USMLE Step II Report (if available)
  • Medical School Transcripts
  • 3 Letters of Recommendation (from orthopaedic surgery and general surgery faculty only)

International Application Requirements:

Only applications received through ERAS will be considered, and applicants are required to be ECFMG certified.  Loyola University Medical Center, Orthopedics Residency Program sponsors J-1 visas only.
