Loyola Medicine’s Diabetes Care Center at our Hickory Hills location provides comprehensive group and individual treatment programs for adults with diabetes.
Loyola Medicine has one of the leading programs in the country for treating diabetic foot (Charcot foot) problems. Diabetic foot (Charcot foot) is a foot deformity most common in diabetes patients.
Loyola Medicine offers a comprehensive, integrated approach to treating endocrine disorders and conditions, including services from our expert surgeons.
Loyola Medicine's endocrinologists provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of diabetes mellitus, multiple endocrine neoplasia, female and male gonadal dysfunction and other hormonal disorders.
The pediatric endocrinology team at Loyola Medicine offers consultation and comprehensive care for children with diabetes and endocrine disorders, such as hormonal disturbances and disorders of the major endocrine glands.

Men with diabetes are 2.4 times more likely than non-diabetics to suffer heart failure and women are five times more likely. A new Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine study reveals how, on a cellular level, diabetes can cause heart failure. The findings could lead to medications to treat and perhaps prevent heart failure in diabetes patients, researchers said. The study from the lab of Jonathan A. Kirk, PhD, is published in the American Society for Clinical Investigation journal
